Top 5 Reasons Why An SEO Should Know More Than Just SEO

Search engine optimization is considered to be the most effective way for your website to be optimized. This is a process wherein the content of your website will easily be recognized and get the attention of the search engine. This would involve changing the text, correction on website navigation, coding & User Interface design and suggestions for URL. This is not a simple process however, once the on and off pages are optimized, it will lead to high ranking in the search engine leading to more traffic for your website. If SEO is done properly, the website owner can enjoy long term period of advertising their business.

Since SEO is one of the most effective tools in marketing online business, there are five reasons why you should know more about it.

1. Provides Visibility

When your website is optimized, it will be easy for people to recognize your website. The search engine sorts websites in terms of content, relevance and URLs. Additionally, by using the right keyword, you can interact with the viewers and there is a great chance that search can find your website.

2. Recognizing Your Brand

If the website gains lots of impressions from the target audience, it has the ability to facilitate the awareness to the brand you are marketing. Without you knowing it, when your website is on top, it creates an indirect brand building. This strengthens the brand of product you are marketing. SEO will make this happen for it will improve your placements in the web. Once you are on top, there is a great chance that you will have lots of followers.

3. Stretches Your Budget

Advertising the product is a costly expense in any business. There are times that your business does not have enough funds for advertisement that is why they resort to cheap forms with less effectiveness. With your online activities, you would only need good content, keyword, effective links and social media. This will save you from resorting to expensive advertisement. What you have to do is to look for someone to do some offline activities like writing the web content for the website.

4. Put Value To Your Site and Be On Top

The search engine optimization is capable of bringing potential customers to the website whenever the searcher looks for product knowledge. If you are on top of the ranking, with billions of searchers who uses the internet every day, you will be prioritized. When your website is optimized, it will help others to find your website.

5. Platform That Works For You

SEO and advertisement marketing are similar; they are used to look for customers. Online advertising relies on the data and still growing despite the gloomy economy. Paid search effect grows every year and advertisers get to spend lots of money on all forms of advertisement. However, once your website is optimized, you do not have to spend lots of money to be on top.

Content marketing-How to make the most of it

This is a form of marketing technique in which in relevant and valuable content are distributed so as to attract the attention of the potential customers. As opposed to bombarding people with ads, content marketing aims at providing very valuable information to the customers or potential customers for free. When done effectively, the customers will be more open to the company’s brands and products. Some of the tips for creating content that captures the attention of the customers include

Getting fresh and new perspectives
There is a tendency among content marketers to over use a strategy that has been successful for some times. This makes the strategy to lose it appeal among the customers. It is therefore important that new ideas are infused on the content marketing. Some of the ways of getting fresh perspectives are:
  • Consider working with creative freelance professionals. This will help you get new approaches of keeping the customers interested in the information you are supplying.
  • Another way is to bring in guest content marketers once in a while to develop the content marketing. The outside consultants will enrich the knowledge of your product among your customers and also very useful in reaching their followers in the social media.
  • Getting the views of other people in the company but outside the marketing department. The other people may have fresh ideas on how to sell the products more creatively.
  •  Having a focus group discussion to brainstorm on various ways of providing answers to the questions raised by the potential customers.
  • So that content marketing make good impression on the customers, there is need on employing different types of strategies that will relay the same information over and over.
Factors that make effective content marketing
  • Make sure that the message answers most of the questions asked by potential customers. This is easily done by taking note of the questions asked when selling the products.
  • The information should train people on the product. This is especially useful when dealing with technical products. You will win trust in the process of educating your client about how best to use a product.
  •  Including case studies could be very helping in building interest. Adding a simple demonstration on how other customers have used the product can make it more real for customers.
  • Finally, ensuring that the communication is provided in different content formats will enhance your chances of reaching the targeted customers.

How to Measure PPC (Pay Per Click) Performance?

The main advantage of Online Marketing over Offline or Traditional is the 'measurability' of investment and the Return on Investment (ROI). SEO (organic search) and SEM (Paid Search) are two vital pillars of Internet Marketing. Its been a constant debate which of these two is better - SEO or SEM? There is no direct answers as SEM is pinpoint advertising based on interest while SEO is all about Broad guidelines for a constantly improving performance. Whether the quality of SEO is better than SEM, depends on your SEO or SEM (also known as PPC, although not limited to) consultant.

All of us know that, for a successful PPC (pay per click) campaign one should get a high return on investment.
A PPC campaign is quite costly and it does burn a pretty little hole in your pocket the first time. So, it's essential that you get it right in one go. The reason we spend big bucks on this campaign is that PPC is one of the most useful online marketing strategies available. There are several ways in which the PPC performance can be gauged. These are listed here. First up, the CTR (click through rate). It is based on the ratio between number of impressions and ads clicked. This gives an idea of how many are actually clicking the ads.

Next up, CPV (cost per conversion). It tells us the average cost per conversion of each ad, and we can decide on our own which ad was successful and which was not. The 'bounce rate' and 'time on site' features tell us whether the ads are relevant to our website landing page and how interesting the site was, respectively. One of the best indicators, though, is the actual loss incurred in the PPC budget. The more the loss, the worse the
campaign. Our main aim with the campaign should be to incur no loss at all.

Top 10 SEO mistakes: Common Sense SEO

A majority of SEO's dont really emphasize what 'users' want to see and relate.
Having a good SEO for your website is as necessary as keeping the content interesting. However, we commit a lot of mistakes when we go for the SEO. Here are the terrible ten.

1. Use of inaccurate keywords
We use words that we think are descriptive for our website, but people don't generally search those words.

2. Keywordless URLs
Having keywords in our URLs has an advantage over keywordless URLs.

3.Leaving the Title tag empty
Leaving the < title> < /title> tag empty is a blunder as this shows up in search results as our page title.

4.No use of keywords in content
Insert keywords in the content wherever it makes sense. If you can, bold and highlight them.

5.Lack of maintenance
We need to be consistent with optimization of the website, keeping an eye on the competition and search algorithms of search engines.

6.Flash and no HTML
A search spider can't read flash content, so we better have an HTML alternative.

7.Javascript menus
Web search engines don't read javascript. So, it's better to have a sitemap with all the links present.

8.Ignoring header tags
h1...h2,etc. are quite important as they contain the basis of our web page. If possible, we should use keywords in the header tags itself.

9.Irrelevant linking
Assume that our website is being linked from an irrelevant website. This type of negative endorsement does not increase the site ranking.

10.No text content
No matter how attractive our website is, if it doesn't have any kind of text, search engines will just ignore our website in relation to what we want to sell or what we represent.
